Oaklands Global is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Technical Training Manager who will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to our client’s workforce. As a Technical Training Manager, you will collaborate with the Technical Trainers and various departments to identify training needs, design engaging content, and facilitate sessions that elevate the technical skills and knowledge of our employees.

Key Responsibilities

Training Needs Assessment:

  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to determine specific training requirements.

Training Programme Development:

  • Design and develop engaging training materials, including e-learning modules.
  • Utilize adult learning principles for effective content creation.
  • Develop technical training courses for all levels.

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Facilitate hands-on workshops, seminars, and webinars.
  • Ensure interactive and engaging training sessions.
  • Provide basic relevant training for new hires.
  • Schedule in-house educational sessions using e-learning platforms.

Training Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Implement evaluation mechanisms to assess training effectiveness.
  • Analyse feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Provide post-training support and guidance to address technical challenges.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to employees.

Training Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate training records.
  • Create and update training documentation, including manuals and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain companywide training and skills matrices.

Essential Competencies

  • Familiarity with web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques.
  • Ability to interpret departmental training requirements and create engaging content.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Training Manager, Technical Trainer, or similar role.
  • Experience in developing technical course content for novices and experts.
  • Strong technical knowledge in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working closely with multi-site teams to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Strong technical knowledge in an aviation environment.
  • Proficiency in common software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project.
  • Teaching Qualification (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer).
  • Ability to acquire UK security clearance.
  • Full UK driving licence. - Degree in a relevant field (Education, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Certification in instructional design or adult learning.
