Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Technical Services Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established MRO specialising in the maintenance of regional aircraft and components.
The Technical Services Manager will lead the Technical Project Coordinators and oversee base maintenance coordination, ensuring all planned work is completed with the appropriate resources. You will also act as the primary link between customers, OEMs, and suppliers to ensure efficient and compliant project delivery.
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position, working Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate the Technical Project Coordinator team to ensure timely delivery of base maintenance projects.
- Support Maintenance Managers with work scope and regulatory compliance.
- Develop efficient production planning and work ordering systems.
- Manage customer relations and validate work orders within the companies capabilities.
- Plan manpower, tools, materials, and oversee accurate work documentation.
- Deliver complete work packages and monitor project progress with Dock Chiefs.
- Ensure timely completion, certification, and documentation of maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate outsourced work and handle audit corrective actions.
- Oversee staff competence assessments with the Training Manager.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Part-145 environment in a similar MRO role.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven track record in leading or coordinating base maintenance or technical services teams.
- Hands-on experience in production planning, work pack preparation, and maintenance coordination.
- Direct interaction with customers, OEMs, and regulatory authorities.
- Experience managing outsourced maintenance and subcontractors.
- Proven leadership or coordination experience in a technical environment.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Experience with maintenance planning systems (e.g., Pentagon, AMOS, TRAX).
- High IT proficiency, including MS Office
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Good commercial understanding of maintenance workflows.
