Oaklands Global are seeking an experienced Technical AVP/VP to support the management of a global aircraft and engine portfolio across acquisitions, lease transitions, deliveries, redeliveries, repossessions, maintenance events and remarketing activities for one of our leading aviation clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, sales, purchases and repossessions.
- Oversee aircraft technical records, asset documentation and remarketing specifications.
- Lead maintenance cost reviews and negotiations with MRO providers.
- Conduct technical due diligence, audits and lease inspections.
- Support aircraft and engine acquisitions, disposals, lease transitions and maintenance programmes.
- Review technical aspects of lease agreements and provide commercial recommendations.
- Work closely with airlines, OEMs, MROs, investors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for investment opportunities and business development initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience working within, or on behalf of, an aircraft leasing company.
- Licensed Aircraft Engineer with 8+ years' experience, or equivalent technical qualification with 10+ years' aviation experience.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance records, lease transitions and commercial risk.
- Aircraft engine experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to assess technical matters from an asset management perspective.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
