Oaklands Global are currently seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Lead on behalf of our well-established engineering client based The Netherlands, for a 6-12 month fixed-term contract. The Talent Acquisition Lead will be responsible for leading the team while balancing operational delivery with strategic direction. The role will involve building strong relationships with HR Business Partners and Site Directors, ensuring alignment on hiring priorities, and confidently managing stakeholder discussions to keep recruitment efforts focused and effective.

Non-negotiable Essentials:

  • A hybrid role with a minimum 3 days a week in our clients Papendrecht office.
  • Fluent in Dutch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing coaching, performance management and support with escalations.
  • Drive delivery of a high-quality, efficient recruitment service, ensuring hiring processes remain effective and aligned to business needs.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders to align on hiring priorities and workforce planning.
  • Encourage continuous improvement across recruitment processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Support the development of proactive sourcing strategies, including direct sourcing, talent pipelining and innovative attraction methods for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Promote the organisation’s employer brand through effective use of attraction platforms and recruitment campaigns.
  • Monitor recruitment activity and performance metrics, providing regular reporting and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Champion inclusive recruitment practices and contribute to Talent Acquisition projects and wider HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience gained at TA/Recruitment Lead or Manager level (ideally in-house but would consider someone who has led an RPO service for a client).
  • Must have experience of leading end to end operational recruitment delivery – ideally with a focus on engineering roles.
  • Strong people management skills – a strong track record of motivating, managing and driving a team to achieve performance results.
  • Experience of best practice use of applicant tracking systems, sourcing and recruitment marketing tools.
  • Competent in using data to identify solutions and process improvement.
  • Able to forge collaborative working partnerships with HR, Site teams and Hiring Managers.
  • Knowledge of legislation around recruitment (local to region).
