Oaklands Global are currently seeking an Engineering Safety & Compliance Specialist to join our reputable client’s team in Scotland.
This role supports safety and compliance within the UK AOC Part 145 & CAMO departments and across Europe, ensuring airworthiness standards align with international benchmarks. You will work closely with engineering teams and have opportunities to travel across Europe to ensure compliance.
This position offers professional growth through certifications and mentorship in aviation safety.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for safety, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Lead and coordinate audits to ensure operational compliance.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, providing recommendations for prevention.
- Deliver safety training to staff and management.
- Support safety-related activities such as Risk Assessment, Management of Change, and Corrective and Preventative Action.
- Monitor safety reports and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Develop and update audit checklists in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs.
- Manage safety system infrastructure and promote safety awareness.
- Develop relationships with internal teams, regulators, clients, and industry partners.
Requirements
- Professional aviation accreditation (e.g., maintenance engineer licenses or CAMO experience).
- Accredited training in Aviation Safety Management (Desirable).
- Auditor accreditation (ISO9000 or aviation-specific).
- Incident investigation qualification (Desirable).
- Aviation-related degree (Desirable).
- Knowledge of NAA regulations.
- Experience in auditing and incident investigation (Desirable).
- Experience in rotary wing offshore/SAR or fixed-wing aviation (Desirable).
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (Desirable).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
