Oaklands Global are currently recruiting an Operations Manager - MRO for a world-renowned organisation in the aviation and aerospace organisation.
Responsibilities
- Achieving the manufacturing goals for landing gear, which leads to 100% On Time Delivery with Zero Defects in accordance with the programme demands and budgets.
- Establish and maintain a culture that is in line with the Culture Principles and value drivers by appreciating the contributions of both people and teams and by setting an example of appropriate behaviour.
- Demand accountability from team leaders and members for upholding the culture's tenets.
- When evaluating and managing people's performance, be transparent and truthful. At the same time, provide people with the guidance and assistance they need to close performance gaps.
- Establishing a world-class, safe, and healthy work environment in their designated areas by applying the Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and standards and by setting an example of a safety-first mentality.
- Creating exceptional Team Leaders that exemplify theLeading and growing of their teams to comprehend the context, mechanics, and the delivery of PSQDCC targets to fulfil customer and stakeholder commitments; they can easily advance to become Group Leaders or take on other important roles in the organisation.
- Overseeing the strict and methodical implementation of the Lean Operating Model (LOM) in their designated domains..
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master education, preferably related to engineering.
- 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing/MRO operations within Aerospace.
- 5+ years’ experience in people management and proven experience in improving processes within an operations environment.
- Operations leadership, preferably internally from a Team Leader role.
- 5+ year experience MRO Aerospace.
- Understanding of performance numbers and trends.
- Meeting and exceeding PSQDCC performance targets.
- Using effective communication to build a high performing team.
- Influencing across functional lines.
- The ability to Lead, Coach and Develop direct reports.
- Consistently working to standards as defined in the site Business/Quality Management System (B/QMS).
- Good standard of English language.
- Qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline.
- Experience working with a Lean Operating Model / Production System.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification by a reputable certifying body or benchmark company.
- Aerospace supply chain experience.
