Investment Banking Associate – M&A & Strategic Advisory (AEC Sector Focus)

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the Architecture, Engineering & Consulting (AEC) sector.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and industry benchmarking for client engagements.
• Prepare client materials including pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and buyer/seller outreach materials.
• Execute transaction processes including due diligence coordination, data room management, and stakeholder communication.
• Assist in buyer/seller identification, strategic positioning, and deal marketing efforts.
• Work closely with Vice Presidents and Managing Directors to support origination and execution efforts.
• Coordinate with clients, investors, legal counsel, and other advisors throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide Analysts, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow execution.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of investment banking experience, preferably within an elite boutique or bulge bracket platform.
• Strong experience in M&A execution and/or strategic advisory mandates.
• Prior exposure to AEC sectors (architecture, engineering, construction, infrastructure consulting, or related professional services) strongly preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build client-ready materials.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced transaction environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.
