Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a General Manager on behalf of one of our well-established business aviation MRO to lead its FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This is a high-impact leadership role with full responsibility for operations, compliance, financial performance, and strategic growth.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations while driving long-term profitability, regulatory excellence, and customer satisfaction across the facility.
The General Manager will provide executive leadership across maintenance, quality, parts, and administrative functions, acting as the primary liaison with customers, OEMs, and regulatory authorities. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a growing MRO operation within business aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operations
- Lead and direct all Part 145 repair station activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations
- Drive a strong safety-first and compliance-led culture
- Establish and monitor KPIs to improve efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and internal procedures
- Serve as senior liaison with the FAA and external auditors
- Oversee audits and corrective action programs
- Financial & Business Management
- Full P&L ownership including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Drive profitability through operational efficiencies and pricing strategies
- Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions
- Strategic Growth & Customer Relations
- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand capabilities and revenue
- Build strong relationships with customers, OEMs, vendors, and stakeholders
- Support sales efforts, contract negotiations, and customer retention
- People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop management staff and technicians
- Oversee workforce planning, hiring, training, and succession planning
- Foster a high-performance, accountable culture
Requirements
- 10+ years’ aviation maintenance experience with leadership responsibility in a Part 145 environment
- Experience in a General Manager, Director of Maintenance, Director of Operations, or senior MRO leadership role
- Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations
- Proven P&L ownership and financial management capability
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational improvement
- A&P License
- Business aviation / corporate jet / Part 135 experience
- Multi-aircraft or multi-site MRO leadership exposure
- Background in growth, turnaround, or scaling operations
