Oaklands Global is in search of a dynamic individual to join our client on a permanent basis as a Business Excellence Lead. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in advancing the capabilities of the Business Excellence Functional team. Your primary responsibilities will encompass evaluating existing business practices, collaborating with internal teams to innovate and streamline processes, and ensuring the sustained implementation of standardised improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the Business Excellence Functional team's capabilities.
  • Assess current business practices and collaborate with internal teams to devise and implement innovative ideas, enhancing resource utilisation.
  • Ensure the implementation and sustainability of standardised improvements.
  • Spearhead internal process improvement initiatives, focusing on People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics at a broader organisational level.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving across all departments.
  • Introduce best practices, templates, and systems to support the Business Excellence Plan, promoting standardisation throughout the organisation.
  • Identify and address training needs based on the agreed Business Excellence Plan.
  • Develop a strategic manpower resource plan to support the Business Excellence Plan, working closely with senior management for effective resource allocation.
  • Drive successful implementation of short- and long-term action plans.
  • Manage Business Excellence campaigns and projects, conducting regular reviews with senior management to ensure deliverables are achieved.
  • Validate project results using appropriate data tools, quantifying and measuring ongoing performance improvements and KPIs.
  • Actively participate in conferences and events to stay abreast of best practices and identify new areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to establish a sustainable Business Excellence Function.
  • Serve as a role model for best practices within the Business Excellence Function.
  • Fulfil other roles and responsibilities as required in alignment with the overall company strategy.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lean practitioner in Business Process Improvement activities.
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Business Process Improvement qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven people leadership skills through 1-2-1 and team-based coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to drive a culture of Continuous Improvement and Change Management.
  • Experience in Programme and Project Management, covering both Governance and Execution.
  • Robust analytical and statistical problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to align internal and external customer needs with optimised business processes.
  • Energetic approach, excellent organisation skills, and a commitment to delivering safely, on-time, and on-budget.
  • Demonstrable business acumen, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Influencing and encouraging ability with clarity, empathy, positivity, and objectivity.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of data analysis tools.

  • Must meet and maintain required medical standards.
  • Work location is in the hangar.
  • PPE is provided.
  • Must meet and maintain airport security requirements.
